Sitapur: street lights dark for three months leave village road deserted after sunset
A citizen reporter's complaint; the power department promises an inspection
Twelve of the fourteen street lights on the road from our village to the market have been off for three months. After dark, women and students avoid the road.
The gram panchayat says it has written to the electricity department about repairs. Our team visited and confirmed that the lights are not working.
