Bihar Must Become Crime-Free and Safe State: Chirag Paswan

Union Minister Chirag Paswan has supported Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s remarks on crime and criminals, saying that the state must become crime-free and safe for its residents.

Reacting to the Chief Minister’s comments, Paswan said that Samrat Choudhary also holds the Home portfolio and would therefore have access to relevant data on law and order in the state. He added that, as someone from Bihar, he wants to see the state become a safe and crime-free place.

Paswan said the government should have a clear approach towards improving security in Bihar. According to him, strengthening the sense of safety among residents would also create better opportunities for investment.

Safe Environment Essential for Investment

The Union Minister said Bihar has considerable investment potential and can be developed as an investor-friendly state. However, he stressed that effective law enforcement and public confidence in security are essential for achieving this goal.

He called for the government to move forward with a 'Bihari First' approach, emphasising that development and economic growth depend on a strong law-and-order environment.

Paswan said that when residents and business owners feel secure, the likelihood of attracting greater investment to the state increases.

Responding to the Chief Minister’s remarks on crime and criminals, Paswan said that Samrat Choudhary’s position was clear and that he agreed with what the Chief Minister had said.

His remarks underline his support for the state government's emphasis on improving law and order as part of its broader development and investment priorities.
