Sitapur school roof leaks; children study on the verandah
Photos from a citizen reporter were verified on the spot by our team
Rainwater is leaking through the roof of two classrooms at a primary school in Sitapur. About 120 children have been studying on the verandah for three weeks.
The headteacher says a repair request went to the block office in July. Citizen reporter Deepak Nishad sent photos of the school, which our team verified on the spot.
The basic education office says the repair proposal will be taken up at its next meeting.
